明けましておめでとうございます。

洋一は先端研センター勤務を無事終え、12年振りに工学系研究科電子工学専攻へ戻ってきました。また、引き続き情報基盤センター長として、国立大学法人化直前の忙しい毎日を送っております。澄子は友の会と水泳を楽しみ､また洋一と山を楽しんでおります。

Merry Christmas and

A Happy New Year

Yoichi completed the assignment to Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology this year, and returned back to the Course of Electronic Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering after 12 year absence.

He is still in the position of director, Information Technology Center, the biggest computer center of the University of Tokyo with about 70 staffs. He is very busy because all of about 100 Japanese national universities will move to agencies from April 2004.

Yoichi and Sumiko were still enjoying mountain hiking and this year visited about 8 peaks among Japanese 100 famous mountains. Also in June, they visited Duhuang in China, a famous ancient Buddhism ruin along the Silk Road. In November, Yoichi also were in Taiwan, and visited A-li-shan mountain and earthquake sites near Tai-Chung.

All of us are healthy and active for everything. We also wish you and your family a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
