Merry Christmas and

A Happy New Year

In January, we visited Egypt for sightseeing, and were fascinated by huge artifacts. In September, Yoichi attended European Conference on Applied Superconductivity in Dresden, where Sumiko accompanied and both of us are very impressed by the beautifully recovered city after bombing in World War II.

Yoichi is still a vice president of the Open University of Japan. He is in charge of promotion of Information Technology and broadcasting especially in the field of educational contents.

Sumiko had suffered from rheumatoid arthritis in this spring, and stopped hiking about half a year. Fortunately, she could meet an adequate medicine and has gradually started again small hiking. We hope to start again hiking of “a Hundred Mountains in Japan”, which was stopped at 81/100. Our grandson. becomes 2 yr and 3 month old, and started speaking., which we enjoyed.

All of us are almost healthy and active for everything.  We also wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
