Last October, Sumiko’s father, Sogo Okamura, passed away at the age of 95. He was a professor of electronic engineering, an intimate friend of Yoichi’s father, and a supervisor of Yoichi during Yoichi’s student age. He engaged in microwave and millimeter wave engineering.

Yoichi is still President of the Open University of Japan. He visited United Kingdom, Thailand, China this year for his business. He is promoting e-learning in OUJ, and also contributing Japan MOOCs society.

Last June, Yoichi and Sumiko travelled Utah, USA and enjoyed magnificent sceneries of Zion, Brice Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon.

All of us are healthy and active for everything.　 We also wish you and your family a prosperous new year.
