Dubrovnik, Croatia, July, 2014

Yoichi’s mother, Kazu Okabe, passed away at the age of 93 last September. She gave her children a lot of love, and for me, spent great effort to find food after the World War II. Now, we had lost all of our four parents.

 

Last October, our son, Jun, and his wife, Etsuko, had their first daughter, Minori, who was our third grandchild.

 

Yoichi is still President of the Open University of Japan. He visited United States, Korea, Hong Kong, Bali for exchange of the concrete idea of e-learnig. He started two MOOCs (Massive Open Online Coursed) last April.

 

Yoichi and Sumiko travelled Croatia and its vicinity last July, and will visit Alaska for inspection of Aurora this December.

All of us are healthy and active for everything.　 We also wish you and your family a prosperous new year.
