Happy Holidays

Bali, Indonesia, in June

We, Yoichi and Sumiko, visited Fairbanks, USA to see Aurora again at the end of last year, and Bali, Indonesia last July. Also visited Nagasaki with Jun’s (our son) family and with his wife’s parent in May, and Tohoku last June to know what is going on now after the big Tsunami. They look to be recovering gradually.

Yoichi is still President of the Open University of Japan (OUJ). In 2014, Ministry of Education permitted us to kick off online lectures. Probably the boom of MOOCs helped us. We started 2 online lectures last April, and 10 more next April. By these, even a correspondence university such as OUJ could start dense bi-directional lectures.

Sumiko was remitted from articular rheumatism, and could enjoy street hiking frequently with Yoichi.

All of us are healthy and active for everything.　 We also wish you and your family a prosperous new year.
